1. What Are Cookies and Other Browser Storage

Cookies are small text files that are stored on the user's device when using a website. Our website uses the browser's local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage), which work in the same way as cookies. These help improve the functionality and user experience of the website.

2. Browser Storage Inventory

Our website does not set its own HTTP cookies. The following data is stored in the browser's local storage (localStorage) or session storage (sessionStorage):

  • cookie-consent-v1 β€” Stores cookie consent state, version and timestamp. Set when the user chooses in the cookie banner. β€” Essential β€” Persists for a maximum of 12 months, after which consent is requested again.
  • base44_access_token β€” Authentication token (JWT), enables login. Set after successful login. β€” Essential β€” Removed on logout.
  • base44_app_id β€” Application identifier, enables connection to the Base44 platform. Set on first page load. β€” Essential β€” Persists until the user deletes it.
  • base44_from_url β€” The page from which login was initiated, for return navigation. Set on each page load. β€” Essential β€” Persists until replaced with a new value or the user deletes it.
  • base44_functions_version β€” Function version identifier. Set on first page load. β€” Essential β€” Persists until the user deletes it.
  • base44_app_base_url β€” Application base URL. Set on first page load. β€” Essential β€” Persists until the user deletes it.
  • Analytics events β€” Website usage analytics are sent to the Base44 platform as API calls, not cookies. β€” Analytics β€” Sent only after consent.
  • acolegal_campaign_params β€” Keeps the parameters of the first ad click during the session (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term, gclid, wbraid, gbraid). β€” Analytics and advertising β€” Stored in session storage (sessionStorage) only if you have given consent. Removed when the browser session ends.
  • _signup_tracked_<user id> β€” Deduplication key for the sign-up analytics event, which prevents the same event from being counted more than once. β€” Analytics β€” Stored only if you have given consent. Persists until you delete browser storage.
  • Google Ads identifiers (e.g. _gcl_aw, _gcl_au) β€” Link an ad click to a conversion event. β€” Advertising β€” Set only with your consent. Lifespans vary according to Google's settings.
  • Internal interface settings (for logged-in users only) β€” the state of unread counters, monthly reporting target and budget targets (juristi_seen_counts, report_monthly_target, budget_goals). β€” Essential (functional) β€” Persists until you delete browser storage.

3. Consent and Withdrawal

Essential browser storage is set without consent. Analytics events are sent only after you have given your consent in the cookie banner. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: click the Cookie settings button at the bottom of the website or the Cookie settings link in the footer and disable analytics consent. After withdrawal, no new analytics events and no new Ads conversions are sent. Advertising and analytics storage for Google Ads tracking (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage) is denied by default (Consent Mode: denied) and activated only with your consent.

4. Advertising Measurement and Google Ads

The website uses Google Ads conversion tracking. Measurement and the related browser storage are activated only with your consent.

  • Measured conversions: a successful contact form submission and a phone link click (tel: link).
  • Analytics events only, not Ads conversions: a click on an email link and a click on a WhatsApp link.
  • Advertising parameters: gclid, wbraid, gbraid and UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term) that arrive with an ad click or campaign.
  • Recipient: Google Ireland Limited. Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), which processes data in accordance with its advertising data processing terms.
  • Third-party browser storage: after consent, Google Ads may set and read its own cookies and identifiers for advertising measurement. Without consent, no advertising-related storage takes place (Consent Mode: denied).

5. Data Sent Only After Consent

Analytics events are sent to the Base44 platform and Google Ads conversions to Google only after you have given explicit consent in the cookie banner. Essential browser storage is set without consent. After consent, the website also uses Google's advertising-related cookies and identifiers (section 4).

6. Browser Storage Management

You can manage and delete browser storage from your browser settings. Deleting browser storage may affect the functionality of the website. You can find detailed instructions for managing browser storage in your browser's help section. You can also withdraw consent via the Cookie settings button on the website.
